Your healing shouldn’t be so hard

You just want to be well, but all the information out there is so complicated. How do you know where to start? You have no energy, you can’t lose weight, and you’re mentally drained.

I have been exactly where you are. I invested thousands of dollars with medical professionals and nutritionists only to find myself still feeling like garbage. I’d make a little bit of progress with each protocol only to fall back into the same symptoms I’d thought I had healed. It wasn’t until I stripped down my protocol to the very basics that began to heal.

Humans are complex, but we’re not all that complicated.

You deserve to be well, and stay well.

As humans, we need food, water, movement, and sleep. But why aren’t our doctors telling us that those foods should be nutrient-dense and easy to absorb? Or that movement should be gentle, and our water should include essential minerals. It’s easy to say “Just eat like our ancestors ate, they were healthy.” But the reality is that our ancestors wouldn’t last a day in this modern world of pesticides and forever chemicals. From skincare to produce, it can feel like we’re fighting an uphill battle. I was tired of feeling frustrated and took my health into my own hands.

While we may require a little extra help from a magnesium supplement or an occasional liver detox, it’s important to first address the root of the symptoms.

Think of your body like a house. Building a strong foundation is much more important for the long term than throw pillows and window frames. So rather than buying serums for your thinning hair and energy drinks for your midday crash, you have to look deeper. Why is your hair thinning? Why are you so tired by lunch?

What is causing these symptoms? Why have the traditional remedies not worked for you? Why does everything you try feel so overwhelming?

The answer is simple: go back to the basics. Balance your blood sugar. Hydrate properly. Make sure you’re digesting your food. Go for a walk! Most of the remedies you need to reverse your symtoms are FREE! These are the answers I needed to hear when I was desperate to feel better. I once saw an MD specializing in hormones who put me on a progesterone cream that made me excessively gain weight and lose my period. I had both colonoscopy and upper endoscopy procedures done with a gastroenterologist who told me “Everything looks normal.” I invested countless time and money working with a naturopath who never mentioned removing seed oils from my diet. I was broke and exhausted!

I wish someone had told me sooner that my periods would be painful until I started managing my blood sugar and supporting my liver. I could have saved myself a lot of stress if I had known about cycle syncing my workouts rather than doing HIIT circuits every day. I spent the better half of my life learning and unlearning what works. And as I said, humans are complex, but we’re not that complicated. So I decided to write the book, or rather mini guides, on the basics. Because I FINALLY discovered the inexpensive and effective ways to heal, and you deserve to also.

  • “Maura is truly the perfect mentor for all things health and healing! I started this journey with her amidst the peak of my depression and anxiety that had been ongoing for 2+ years. I struggled with sleep trouble, constant bloating, low motivation, and overall low affect. I will never forget that one of my first assignments from Maura was to write a note on all my mirrors saying “I am healing my body and learning to love my body.”  From that beginning week working with her I felt seen and knew I was supported and working with the right person. I learned to build better habits, get outside, honor my body, and just take a holistic approach to becoming more healthy. After working with her I learned how to make lifestyle changes instead of “quick” fix diets and haven’t looked back. I will continue to recommend her to everyone looking to finally make a change and live the life they always wanted to live, but never could achieve alone."
